scott everyone knew he was going top ten since this thing began… hope you dont think i was surprised… ya he is the best guard to come out in like 20 years…

nfl is a copy cat league… but i think barkely is an elite rb… where i dont see elliot as that…
Here is a reason its hard for me to take a rb in the top ten… bc the next round at the top of the second you can get guice… or chubb… or whoever… so much rb talnet on the board in the second or third… every year…
yep. And the Clowns blew it. I think they could have taken Sequon at # 1 and still got Mayfield at 4. I think it was questionable about who the best QB was, I don’t think there was much question that Barkley is the best at his position. At worst the browns could have had Barkley and one of the top 3 QBs… But that’s why they are the Browns …
Why bring in Taylor then draft a guy when you could have had an impact guy?

scott i very seldom think a rb or guard is worth it in the first… but there are certain times it is… for instance elite once a decade talent… like the guard was this year… or you traded down got extra picks like when we got freddy that made sence… late late in the first when the other positions are picked over…
I go back and study all drafts… i looked over 2012 yesterday… in general guards and rbs are more likely to be studs then any other position after the first round.
Ron… if elliot will run with some desire… i think he could be elite… i just dont see it… and i dont want to talk about it bc im trying to like him… i just dont see him as elite… everyone else does and thats fine… its draft day so id like to kinda stick to that if thats cool w you.

That is only because there are a lot of people that think like you and let them sit. I don’t care about the “old guard philosophy” I am going to take them in whatever round they are the best player in.

Edmunds was my favorite player and james as well… it kinda made me sick that we didnt trade up three or four spots and get one of them.
i had them both ranked as top 6 players

catch this was my point when we drafted elliot…
we get elliot smith and collins… one full time starter in elliot…
we could have got ramsey jack and howard… three full time starters…
If people cannot see how this does not make sense i cannot do anything for them.
