The only thing about the new wording is the whole “the ability to do so”. Still seems kinda ambiguous to me.
Well, based on previous notes from the league on the subject, the replay rule regarding catches will be the major difference maker. Basically (dumbed down and paraphrasing), the Dez catch was originally and correctly ruled a catch, then the replay rule caused confusion and an incorrect ruling.
