County, Texas announced it has indicted Eagles’ DE Michael Bennett for felony charge for injuring a 66-year-old paraplegic working at NRG Stadium to control access to field at SuperBowl LI. A warrant has been issued for Bennett’s arrest.
Crimes against the elderly is a thing (in Texas, at least). Wonder if that’s what pushed it to a felony, or if it’s a felony assault even before the felonious elderly abuse gets added. If it’s the latter, then he’s screwed. The standard sentence for that is something around 7 years (current data as of Jun 2017 in Dallas county), though jail time can be deferred (probation).
The elderly was a Cowboy fan I’m sure. Saw a way to get his ass outta the way. Yea, old folks. sic em.
